I.Description:
1. “Sunshine Sharp” is a campus communication brand specially designed for university students in Beijing. In designated areas, apply “Sunshine Sharp” rate and beyond the designated areas, follow relevant charge standards.
2. Calls within-designated areas refer to outgoing calls made within the base station coverage of “Sunshine Sharp University Alliance”, which will be continuously expanded. For details about covered universities, logon www.bjtelecom.com.cn.
II. Service Application:
1. Go to “CNC Campus Communication Station” in the universities to apply for “Sunshine Sharp” network access.
2. Go to “CNC Business Office”to apply for card change, lost card reissue and other services.
III. Billing Principles
1. “Sunshine Sharp” is a pre-paid service.
2. In the month when “Sunshine Sharp” network entry is applied for, execute “Sunshine Sharp” rates and there is no restriction on minimum amount of spending.
3. Monthly minimum consumption is 18 yuan, which will be deducted in a lump sum from the subscriber account at the beginning of each month. Users need to put sufficient value in the account at the end of each month so that the service will be suspended for insufficient balance.
IV. Consumption Inquiry:
1. Dial 2018 or customer service hotline 10060 to inquire account balance.
2. Take valid identity document of the phone owner to CNC campus communication stations to inquire the status of the minimum consumption of the current month.
3. Take valid identity document of the phone owner to CNC business offices to inquire account balance and the status of the monthly minimum consumption.
V. Applicable Areas
The applicable areas refer to the base station coverage of PHS “Sunshine Sharp” University Alliance, which is composed of China Netcom Beijing Branch and dozens of universities in Beijing. Discounts are given in the Alliance coverage for use of PHS “Sunshine Sharp” service. The Alliance base station coverage will be expanded with more universities join us in the future. The discounts are given to the following universities at the current stage (updated in real time):

Charges for Ordinary PHS Product
：
|
|
● Service activation charge: 15 yuan/phone
● Pre-paid value: users can choose from 0 yuan/phone, 25 yuan/phone, 50 yuan/phone, 100 yuan/phone and 500 yuan/phone.
● Monthly rental: 25 yuan/phone（the rental is deducted every day, that is 0.80 yuan/day）
● Local call charges: local communication charge: 0.22 yuan/the first three minutes and 0.11 yuan/minute from the fourth minute.
● Long-distance call charges: collected according to the current long-distance call rates and time-based discount is given.
● IP long-distance call charges: collected according to 17909IP direct-dial service rates (see the attached table）
● Card service: the same as card service of ordinary fixed telephone.
● Information service charge: use PHS phone to dial information service number, at most 30 yuan will be charged for one information service center per month.
● SMS service: 0.08 yuan will be charged for sending a text message to PHS user and 0.10 yuan to subscribers of other domestic mobile operators. It’s free to receive SMS.
● Data service: PHS Internet access will be charged with 0.02 yuan of communication fee and 0.07 yuan of information fee for each minute.
● Follow Me To service: free to activate the service. Ordinary users can use the service without any charge and flat rate subscribers need to pay 8 yuan/month (the charge is deducted every day, that is 0.26 yuan/day).

PHS PIM Card User Instructions
：
|
|
CNC PIM card is specially used on and can be separated from PHS phone. Here we give you some important information on PIM card, please read it carefully before you use one. For more information, please go to our business office or dial our customer service hotline 10060.
I. Preparation before using PIM card
1. to activate PIM card
PIM card is an intelligent card that has bundled your telephone number and personal information. To start using PHS services, you need to take PIM card down along the cutting line, insert it into PIM-supported PHS phone and turn on the phone which will automatically search and enter CNC PHS network.
2. PIN code
You can initiate PIN code protection or change PIN code on the phone menu. The initial PIN code is 1234. We suggest you change the initial code as soon as possible to prevent any future loss in case you lose the PIM card and somebody uses it to make phone calls. Please refer to your PHS Phone User Guide to change PIN code.
3. Personal Unblocking Code（PUK code）
When you enter wrong PIN code for three times, the PIM card will be locked and you need to enter PUK code to unlock the phone. You can find PUK code on the back of PIM card; you need to enter the new PIN code after unblocking. If you lose your PUK code, take the valid ID of PHS owner to CNC business office to get the phone unblocked. Attention: when you enter wrong PUK code for ten accumulative times, your PIM card will become invalid and can’t be used any longer.
4. You can go to CNC business offices, fee collection agents or partner banks to pay for the service or recharge value into your account; you can also buy our recharge card (the former fixed telephone recharge card), dial 2018 free telephone to recharge your account.
Follow these steps to recharge by dialing 2018:
1. Dial 2018, press "1" to select Mandarin language, and then press "2" to select PHS service.
2. Press "＃" to recharge for the PHS phone you are using. To recharge for other PHS phones, enter PHS number and then press "＃".
3. Enter personal service password (namely PHS personal service password. The initial value is "000000", you are requested to change it to 6 new numbers easy for you to memorize), press "＃", you will hear a tone and then press "1" to recharge.
II. Our offerings: insert PIM card into PHS phone, then you can make/receive) local calls to/from fixed or mobile telephones, domestic and international long-distance calls, and send or receive SMS. We provide caller number display service on your PHS phone without any charge. With caller number display service, the telephone number of the calling party will be automatically displayed on your phone and you can decide to pick it up or not. At present, PHS free phone service is available for special-service number like 110, 119, 120, 122, our customer service hotline 10060 and recharge and balance inquiry number 2018.
III. Lost card replacement and emergency suspension (loss report): if your PIM card is damaged, you can take valid ID of the old card and PHS phone owner to CNC business office to apply for card replacement. If PIM card is damaged within 15 days after network access and the damage is not caused by man-made factors, we will issue a new card to the subscriber without charging service fee or PIM card fee. In other cases, users need to pay relevant charges.
When your PIM card is lost, you can dial 10060 and apply for emergency suspension with personal service password. Then you can take your valid identity document to the local CNC business office to go through relevant procedures to get your card reissued and service resumed. And you need to pay the processing fee and PIM card.
IV. Attention
1. PIM card is hermetically packaged according to relevant international technical standards, so please buy your PIM card in CNC business offices or from authorized agents and check the package before the purchase.
2. Please fill in the network entry registration form and read the user agreement carefully before you buy PIM card. When you submit the network access registration form, you will be regarded as having accepted all clauses in the agreement.
3. PIM card in Beijing is activated in real time. Try to activate your PIM card immediately after you buy it from the sales agent.
4. If you lose or damage your PIM card and get a new one, or you cancel your PHS subscription, the old PIM card will become invalid and can’t be used any more.
5. If the regulator issues an announcement to adjust telecom tariff, we will execute the new tariff without notice to subscribers.
6. To ensure voice quality, please use your PIM card with PHS with Alliance Logo.

Matters needing attention when you use PHS
：
|
|
（1）Network optimization is a continuing process: it takes time to improve our PHS network. During the early period, it’s inevitable to have blind areas in the signal coverage, but with constant efforts, there will be fewer and fewer blind areas. You are welcome to give us feedback if you discover signal blind areas by calling our customer service center on 10060.
（2）Antenna handover: since PHS antenna has a very low emission power and is environment friendly, there may be temporary loss of voice when users are moving around, but this is not a drop of service, so please do not hang up, and the call will be resumed automatically after a short while.

● Is PHS phone digital or analog?
“PHS” network is all-digital and PHS phone is a digital phone.
● Is area code needed when PHS phone dials local network telephones?
No.
● How many numbers does PHS phone have?
“PHS” number is the same as fixed telephone. There are 8 numbers.
● If my old PHS phone is lost (or damaged) and I buy a new one, can I still use the same old number?
Yes, but the lost (or damaged) one can’t be used any more.
● How to judge whether PHS is in service area or not?
There is an umbrella-shape signal mark on your PHS screen when it’s within the service area; there would be no such mark if you are out the service area.
● Is time-based discount for domestic and international long-distance calls applicable to PHS?
Yes.
● Can PHS roam?
PHS can be used within local coverage and inter-city roaming is not available now.
● PHS and mobile phone access each other’s network?
They can’t because they belong to two different communication systems.
● Why is “PHS” also called “green phone”?
PHS has a very low emission and received power of only 0.01 watt，so the electromagnetic radiation is limited and harmless to the body and environment and that’s why PHS is also called “green phone” .
● Is PHS charged one-way or two-way?
One-way.
● How to judge if PHS phone goes wrong or PHS base station?
If the noise is quite large when you are using PHS phone, try to move to areas covered by other base stations (about 300 meters), and if the problem is still there, it’s probably the phone that goes wrong, otherwise, it’s the base station.

● Account balance inquiry: subscribers can dial our customer service hotline 10060 or recharge telephone 2018, follow the voice prompt to inquire the bill.
● Details inquiry: PHS subscribers can inquire their bill details of the latest three month (including the current month), flat rate users can only inquire the part beyond the flat-rate package. How to inquire:
Residential users must take their valid identity document to designated CNC business offices to inquire the bill details. Business users must provide a letter of introduction from the company, collection order for the month to be inquired and ID of the proxy. |
